Nothing is easy today!

omg... i'm starting to have flashbacks of O'Brien vacations past. Mary and I are leaving for FL tonight and it has been nothing but road blocks today. Mary is still sick (not holding that against her, who could), the baseball tickets were lost by UPS for a few hours (but they got off their ass and found them), there is a school meeting tonight that Mary has to goto (they never told her about it though) so she has to dash to the airport with less then an hour to spare, and i have to pick up the luggage at her place tonight so that i can bring it all to the airport and check it in. It's crazy, i'm going to be sooooo happy when i get to Tampa and crack open a beer.

Am I too honest?

So we all know about Mary and me. She is good friend of mine and idk where i'd be today without her. This past weekend I went out with friends for St. Patrick's Day and told Mary to meet up with us before we went to the Dropkick Murphy's concert (which was a fan-fuckin-tastick time! more on that later). She came out and then Shannon said she was around the corner so I told her to come by too. Bad idea?

I've been honest with both of them letting each other know where they stand with me. but i'm starting to think that maybe somethings are better off not said for the three of us. I fucked up this past weekend... twice... and called Shannon Mary... not kosher. It doesn't take a genius to see what could have happened. This bugged Shannon more then she will admit and i'm sure Mary was a little embarrassed by it but in my head that just means that I'm at the same level with both woman.

Mary and I have plateaued off because we are friends, and that is were Shannon and I are currently, but I want to take it further with Shannon. I think that this will make a difference but I guess we'll have to see.

Idk who I thought i was thinking I could keep two girls with the same first initial strait while being friends with both at the same time. I want to date Shannon but she is Shy (like i've been in the past).

What's a guy have do to for a herald around here?
I hate having more questions then answers....

Co-workers rock!

So today I was thinking about some of my Co-workers at my last job. Most ppl didn't like working at the company so much, but they were great ppl to talk with and hang out. So I email Em, she used to work at the front desk and escaped and moved to HR. She was the woman who always brought in cookies and cakes for the littlest things (like a king cake for Fat Tuesday, how awesome is that?) And another person I contacted was Kelly, she and I would have lunch sometimes and chat at the cafe. She's a great person and I always enjoyed talking with her so I asked her if she wanted to get some coffee after work sometime. I guess i'm secretly hoping she's single right now, but it'll be great to see her and talk to her. We'll see how it goes!

Did i ever know how good Queen was?

so i've been dicking around the tubes tonight and i came across some vidoes from Queen. Maybe it's because i was born in the early 80's and by the time i started caring about music grunge was in, Nirvana was king, and Queen was a band you only listened to if your team won a game.

So 18 years go by and tonight I'm starting to relized what i've been missing. If you asked me what Queen songs on my iPod, We are the Champians, We will Rock You, and Bohemian Rhapsody would be my answers. Little did i know some where on napster i must have picked up their Greatest Hits Album. At least one of the three anyway. Great song like Under Pressure, Don't Stop Me Now (anyone who saw Sean of the Dead will know this song), Crazy Little Thing Called Love, I Want to Break Free, and I Want it All have been just sitting on my iPod just waiting for me to play them. I can see now why so many of today's bands were influenced by them.

But now i wonder, what else on my ipod is just waiting to be discovered? I have alot of crap on it, but maybe i should put it on shuffle more often.

dating 2.0

so last night i went on my first date in about 3.5 years... i posted an ad on CL like a good nerd and I got a responce from a NEU alumni and we started chatting a little bit and shooting emails back and forth. she studied in DC for three years and got her masters at CUA. i asked her if she had been to a place called Fado before because my little brother is a bartender there. it's a damn small world because she knew who my brother was. So after shooting emails back and forth I shook off my nerves and asked her out for some drinks. we went to a bar in Southie and chatted for about 2 hours. it was a simple first date with both of us just testing the waters and we both had a good time. so i got over the first challenge, we went out. now i have the next challenge... what to do for the second date! i'm thinking a day date; she likes history so maybe something unique in Boston that she may have never seen before and we can get some lunch.

Who knows... but i hope we have a good time

holy crap it's March...

I cannot believe that it's March already... This year is flying by. Big month for me! Got St Patrick's day coming up soon and then my trip to Spring Training! I cannot wait!

Nomaaaaah!
